CRYSTAL FALLS TOWNSHIP — A Bark River woman died as the result of a single-vehicle car crash in Iron County Friday.

Iron County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a traffic crash on U.S. 141, near the intersection of Kohon Road in Crystal Falls Township at 3:03 p.m. Friday.

According to officers, they found the vehicle lying on its roof at the bottom of a steep embankment. The vehicle had gone over a guard rail.

The driver, Glorious Theresa Ross, 56, of Bark River, was found dead inside the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Michigan State Police, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Iron County Search and Rescue, Crystal Falls Fire Department, and Aspirus EMS.
