WELLS TOWNSHIP — The individual killed in a house fire in Wells Township Thursday night has been identified.

David J. LaMarche, 62, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 5, as a result of a house fire, according to his obituary, which is published on page 5A of today’s Daily Press.

At about 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, Delta County Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a fire at 6927 I.5 Lane in Wells Township.

When Delta County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived, they found the two-story residence engulfed in flames.
