Names released in fatal Pembine shooting

PEMBINE, Wis. — Names have been released in the recent case of a man who fatally shot his wife in Pembine, Wis.

According to Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve, the woman has been identified as Shelley M. Erickson/Rogge, 63, of Pembine. Her husband, Gary R. Rogge, 55, of Pembine is in custody and awaiting charges at the Marinette County Jail.

Marinette County Dispatch received a call shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday from Rogge who claimed he had shot his wife earlier in the evening and she was dead.

Officers responded to the Petite Lane address where they found Shelley Erickson/Rogge dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The Marinette County District Attorney is reviewing investigative reports and working on the formal charges in a criminal complaint.

The case remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
