MARQUETTE — The Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has served an order summarily suspending the medical license of Jonathan Gale Robertson of Marquette for allegations of criminal sexual conduct.

LARA also served an accompanying administrative complaint against Robertson detailing alleged criminal sexual conduct with three patients. The specific allegations include:

– Unprofessional conduct with a patient that is sexual or can reasonably be interpreted as sexual.

– Offering to provide practice-related services, such as drugs, in exchange for sexual favors.

– Negligence, incompetence and lack of good moral character.

Additionally, the Michigan Attorney General’s office charged Robertson with eight counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The Michigan Public Health Code provides for summary suspension of licenses when the public health, safety, or welfare requires emergency action. An order of summary suspension is a temporary measure to protect the public and not a final determination that a licensee has violated the Public Health Code.
