Gazebo Concert Series begins tonight in Rock
ROCK — The fourth annual Gazebo Concert Series is set in Rock, organizers announced. Scheduled for Wednesday evenings, the concerts will begin tonight and run through Aug. 15, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s schedule features local bands as well as well-known regional bands. Food and a farmers market will also be available during the concerts. The concert series has been a community event since it began with Rock’s 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration. This year’s schedule is:
– July 18, Dan Cartwright and Friends
– July 25, Angels and Outlaws
– Aug. 1, Flat Broke Blues Band
Aug. 8, Corey, Chasey & Brandan Williams finishing out the season with a chicken dinner and street dance will be Bear Walkers.
A 50/50 raffle will be held to help support the concert, and a second raffle will be held to support the Rock EMS. Major support for the series comes from an arts grant from the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs and re-granted as a mini-grant through CUPPAD.
