ST. IGNACE (AP) — The Mackinac Bridge connecting Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas has reopened to traffic after being shut down due to falling ice from its cables and towers.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority says the bridge was operating this morning under a high wind warning after being closed to traffic on Tuesday.

The authority also warns that the bridge may be icy.
