ESCANABA — The YMCA Delta Center is excited to announce the upcoming Summer Soccer Day Camp, taking place June 15 to 19 at the soccer fields behind the YMCA (2000 North 30th Street, Escanaba). This special camp will be led by Alex Fatovic, head men’s soccer coach at Northern Michigan University, and his coaching staff.

Designed for youth of all skill levels, the Summer Soccer Day Camp offers a fun, engaging, and development-focused environment where participants will build fundamental soccer skills, learn game strategies and strengthen teamwork–all while staying active and making new friends.

Camp sessions are divided by age group to ensure an appropriate and positive experience for all participants. Kindergarten through second grade meets from 9 to 10:30 a.m., while third through eighth grade meets from 9 a.m. to noon.

High school participants an also meet from 9 a.m. to noon if numbers allow. All participants must be at least 5 years old, and grade levels refer to the grade completed during the 2025-2026 school year.

Registration is open from March 15 through June 11. Space is limited in each age group, and early registration is encouraged.

“This is a great opportunity for young athletes in our community to learn from a collegiate-level coach and experience a high-quality soccer camp right here in Escanaba,” said Raquel Schon, youth, family and sports director at the YMCA Delta Center. “We’re excited to help bring this opportunity to families and support youth development through sport.”

Please note, this program is organized and operated entirely by Coach Fatovic and his coaching team. The YMCA is providing facility support only and is not responsible for camp scheduling, staffing or daily operations. Scholarships and YMCA discounts are not available for this program.

Campers should bring a water bottle, snack, athletic wear and athletic shoes. Bringing a soccer ball is optional.
