ESCANABA — In honor of Child Abuse Prevention ad Awareness month, Welcome Newborns invites the public to wear blue for Blue Out Day on Friday.
Welcome Newborns is a non-profit program that services Menominee, Delta and Schoolcraft counties. Their mission is to promote the well-being of children, improve parent and child relations and to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Blue Out Day on Friday, April 10 serves as a reminder that every child has the right to grow up safe, loved and nurtured.
In Menominee, Delta, and Schoolcraft counties, Head Start will be displaying pinwheels for prevention. These represent a commitment to supporting families and strengthening communities.
