After their four dogs found a large porcupine near their Gladstone home, Pam and Tim Cavadeas took it upon themselves to relocate the quilled critter to a safer home to prevent further incidents with the family pets.
Tim placed an empty 55-gallon drum under the porcupine, and “we were able to bend the tree down over the barrel, pry his little fingers off the branch and he dropped into the barrel. It went a lot smoother than either of us thought it would,” Pam said. “We loaded him and his barrel in the truck and took him to an undisclosed location on a plowed road and relocated him to his brand new home.”
