ESCANABA — Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union recently donated funds raised through its employee Dress Down Dollars program to three local non-profit organizations.

A total of $1,500 was distributed, with $500 each going to Delta Animal Shelter, Tri-County Safe Harbor and the U.P. Foster Closet.

The Dress Down Dollars program allows GLFFCU staff to make small donations throughout the year in exchange for the opportunity to dress casually on designated days. Those contributions are then donated to organizations making a difference in the local community.

“We are proud of our staff for supporting causes that have such a meaningful impact locally,” said Becky Townsend, marketing apecialist at Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union. “It’s a simple program that allows our team to give back and support organizations doing incredible work right here in Delta County.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
