Scholarship offered to girls pursuing education

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society will again award a $500 high school scholarship to a local senior girl planning a career in education.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international organization of women educators that promotes professional and personal growth of women educators. They support and encourage educational excellence and intercultural understanding.

The Beta Sigma chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is composed of Escanaba, Menominee and Iron Mountain-Kingsford.

Previous local winners of this scholarship have been: Megan C. Lundin of Gladstone in 2025, Leia Economopolous of Escanaba in 2024, Tiffany Ann Hall of Gladstone in 2023, Mackenzi Ann Mason of Gladstone in 2022, Kendra Ann Bouchard of Escanaba in 2021, Emlyn Verbrigghe of Escanaba in 2020, Taylor Rae Myers of Escanaba in 2019, Amber Lynn Smith of Bark River in 2018, Erica Rubick of Rapid River in 2017, Mackenzie Leisner of Escanaba in 2016, Mikaela Jefferson of Escanaba in 2015, Kristen Leigh Bergstrom of Escanaba in 2014, Anissa Lynne Godfrey of Gladstone in 2013, Margaret A.
