Mosenfelder in 1951 was the first president of the Escanaba League of Women Voters, now known as the Delta County LWV. She had a long history of community service. In addition to the league, she was a past president of the Escanaba School Board and the Delta County Historical Society.

Mosenfelder advocated for well-informed civic participation. She knew the importance of educating future citizens in the history of our country and its valued foundations, according to a news release from the league.

To that end, the LWVDC was proud to make book donations to the Escanaba and Gladstone public libraries. Each library chose books to complement their collections and to enlighten children of all ages.

The LWVDC has much to thank Mosenfelder for and these book donations donated in her name are meant to recognize her contributions to civic education here in Delta County.
