ESCANABA — The Newborns Program of Menominee Delta Schoolcraft Community Action Agency will host a free Lunch & Learn on safe sleep practices for infants from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Escanaba Head Start Center, 1905 S. 21st St.

RSVP deadline for the Escanaba event is Tuesday.

The same program will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Menominee Head Start Center, N1329 U.S. 41, Menominee. RSVP deadline for the Menominee event is Friday, Oct. 24.

Packets of research-based information to avoid the risk of sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS, will be provided. Childcare will not be available for either event.

Participants at the events will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing for a free Cribs for Kids “cribette” package valued at $150 that will take place Thursday, Oct. 30.
