Gladstone library gets Cretens funds

GLADSTONE — The Community Foundation for Delta County recently gave $5,544.20 from Dr. Mary L. Cretens Fund to the Gladstone Area Schools Public Library, 300 S. 10th St. in Gladstone.
An avid reader, Cretens was a frequent visitor to the Gladstone Area Schools Public Library. She had a great interest in many subjects and made learning a lifelong quest.
Cretens was an outstanding citizen of Gladstone and much of her philanthropy is directed to her hometown, according to a foundation news release.
To find out how to start a fund to benefit the area now and into the future, contact the community foundation at 906-786-6654 to set up an appointment to come into the office at 2420 First Ave. S., Escanaba. Mandatory IRA contributions are welcomed and a great vehicle to donate or start a fund.
