Delta Community Foundation announces October grants
ESCANABA — Community Foundation for Delta County’s October round of grant recipients have been announced by Charles Becker, board chair and grants committee member.
Organizations receiving grants include:
— Big Bay de Noc School District, guest author;
— Cameron Elementary PAWS PALS Peer To Peer Program;
— City of Escanaba, afterschool program;
— Escanaba Area Public Schools, to help with AED replacement at the junior high school;
— Escanaba Figure Skating Club, for the Escanaba High School figure skating team;
— Escanaba New Life Community Center – Play Zone Improvement;
— Escanaba Seventh-Day Adventist Food Pantry, pantry needs and upgrades;
— Great Lakes Recovery Centers, enhancing Delta residence service;
— Holy Name Catholic School, Three Cheers (Mats) For Holy Name; and
— New Day Foundation For Families, cancer support services for Delta County residents.
“It is a privilege and honor to be part of an organization that is able to provide grants to a multitude of Delta County organizations that help make our area a better place for all. It is very rewarding to know what we do as a community foundation has such a positive impact for our residents,” Becker said in a news release.
The Community Foundation for Delta County April 2026 grant round will open Friday, Feb. 27. All grant application requests and requirements must be received by 3:30 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, April 1, to be considered. Individuals and service clubs do not qualify for grant funds, according to the organization.
Cheryl Andzejewski, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Delta County, said, “The community foundation is able to provide funds to these entities only through the wonderful generosity of our donors who care about their community.”
