6/12/2025

12:30 pm a deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to a larceny complaint on M-35 in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

1:43 pm deputies along with fire and rescue were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on US 41 in Daggett Township. A vehicle driven by Santina Dugan (19) of Stephenson was making a left-hand turn onto CR 360 when a vehicle driven by Thomas Krause (92) of Menominee attempted to pass and the two vehicles collided. Dugan was transported to the Hospital for her injuries. No other injuries were reported.

3:47 pm a Deputy was dispatched to an area for an assault that had just occurred. The suspect vehicle was located at a residence and an investigation revealed that the 44-year-old Menominee man had a valid felony warrant out of assault with a dangerous weapon. The man was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged on the warrant as well as an additional assault charge for the incident that had just occurred.

5:02 pm a Deputy was contacted by a subject on River Dr in Menominee Township about a missing package. The subject stated that a package showed that it had been delivered but he did not receive it. An investigation was conducted.

8:33 pm a Deputy along with fire and rescue were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover on CR 354 in Stephenson Township. The driver, a 16-year-old Daggett man, was traveling too fast for a corner and lost control causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and rollover. No injuries were reported in the crash. The driver was cited for violation of the basic speed law as well as a driver’s license restriction violation.

6/14/2025

10:57 am a deputy was dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover crash on US 41 in Spalding Township. A vehicle driven by Abagail Meserve (24) of Powers was traveling south on US 41 when she ran off of the on the right and overcorrected causing her to then enter the ditch on the left and overturn. No injuries were reported.

12:35 pm a deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to a trespassing complaint on M-35 in Ingallston Township. The caller stated she has a subject hanging around her property and she is worried that he is casing the property. She wanted him warned of criminal trespass. The 50-year-old Menominee man was warned of criminal trespass on the property and the incident was closed.

2:30 pm a deputy conducted an assist with Child Protective Services at a residence on US 41 in the City of Stephenson. While there assisting a 26-year-old Stephenson woman was found to have a valid warrant out of 95A District Court of Menominee for failure to appear. The woman was able to post bond and was released.

5:27 pm a deputy was advised to respond to a S-4 Ln in Lake Township for an armed home invasion. Upon further investigation it was found that this is a civil matter involving eviction and no home invasion occurred.

6/15/2025

11:27 am a deputy was dispatched to one vehicle traffic crash on M-69 in Harris Township. A vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Bark River man was traveling south when he ran off of the roadway on the right striking a fiber optic box, a steel pole and a powers pole snapping it off. No injuries were reported in the crash.

10:28 pm deputies were dispatched to a domestic in progress on M-35 in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted and the 61-year-old Menominee man was arrested for 3 counts of resisting and obstructing, interfering with an electronic communication device and domestic violence. He was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.

6/16/2025

10:26 am a Deputy was dispatched to Mason Park area in Menominee Township for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The caller stated one of the park benches had been damaged.

5:30 pm a Deputy arrested a 36-year-old woman on a valid warrant out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee in Delta County. The warrant was for a probation violation on original charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and operating while impaired. She was transported to the Menominee County Jail where she was lodged.

6:11 am a Deputy was dispatched to a neighbor dispute on Chartre Rd in Stephenson Township. The caller stated his neighbor had damaged the garden that he had planted. The incident was found to be a civil complaint.

6/17/2025

1:51 pm Deputies along with fire and rescue were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on M-35 in Ingallston Township. A vehicle driven by David Cantrell (35) of Mantello, IL was traveling north and got passed by a passenger car that did not have enough room to pass. The passing vehicle caused the south bound vehicle driven by Jon Zenter (33) to swerve into the north bound lane and strike Cantrell causing Cantrell to lose control and overturn in his semi. Zenter was transported to the hospital for his injuries. Cantrell was not injured in the crash. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

6/18/2025

8:51 am a Deputy observed two vehicles that had just been in a crash on US 2 & 41 and US 41 in Spalding Township. A vehicle driven by Robin Newlin (61) of Wallace was turning left onto US 2 from US 41 when a vehicle driven by Donald Gearhart (90) of Hermansville failed to see Newlin turning and attempted to make a left-hand turn from US 2 onto US 2 & 41. The vehicles collided causing functional damage to both. No injuries were reported in the crash.

5:10 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hannahville B-1 Rd in Harris Township for expired registration plates as well as failing to maintain its lane. An investigation was conducted and the driver, a 56-year-old Stephenson woman was arrested for operating while under the influence of drugs and no security on a motor vehicle. The woman was transported and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
