ESCANABA — OSF HealthCare issued a press release stating some patients may have received a letter concerning insurance by mistake.

A number of community members may have received a letter dated July 11, 2025, from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois stating that St. Francis OSF Medical Group left the BCBS network effective April 16, 2024.

This letter was sent in error, and OSF HealthCare St. Francis Medical Group is still part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield network. Patients can continue to see your OSF providers with no disruption and may disregard this communication.
