Hyde kicks off fall book tour at Escanaba library
ESCANABA — If you got away with murder, would you spend your final moments confessing your sins or let the truth die with you?
Local Author J. L. Hyde’s Fall Tour for her tenth and latest book, To All Those I’ve Killed Before kicks off at the Escanaba Public Library on Saturday, August 23 from 12-2 p.m.
at “Coffee & Chat with Author J. L. Hyde: A Book Signing Event.”
Book lovers are invited to stop in to meet Ms. Hyde, enjoy coffee and refreshments, and chat with the author. “I’d say I wrote about 90% of my new novel sitting in various
corners of the Escanaba library, so I couldn’t think of a better place to kick off the tour celebrating its release,” said the author. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the library event or can be purchased at the Canterbury Bookstore, located at 908 Ludington Street in Escanaba.
Hyde, a native of the U.P. and a graduate of Gladstone High School and Central Michigan University, returned to the area in 2023 after living away for a number of
years. She has nine previous novels, several of which are set in the central Upper Peninsula. Delta County, Summer of ’99, and Midnight in Delta County are fictional stories set in actual locations around Delta County, and the Grady Lake trilogy is loosely based on the Forest Highway 13 woodlands at a fictional lakeside resort.
This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library. The Escanaba Public Library is located at 400 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba.
