A local family who contacted the Menominee Delta Schoolcraft Community Action Agency for help in making their house wheelchair accessible, recently had a new ramp built in their home in Escanaba. This ramp was built and paid for by Laborers Local 1329 as part of their Laborers Rising Program that helps individuals or organizations in need across the country. The team consisted of Josh Fruik, Andy Schwartz, Bob Jayne, Aiden Tennant and Ethan Rittenhouse. Also assisting in the build was Mike Smith, Executive Director of the Upper Peninsula Construction Council and Ryan Stern, Staff Representative for the Michigan Building Trades Council.
