June 4, 2025
12:11 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on US 41 in Nadeau Township for failure to use a turn signal. Further investigation revealed the driver, a 51-year-old Daggett man, was not licensed. He was arrested for no operator’s license and was cited for no proof of insurance and failure to use turn signal. He was advised to contact the court and was released.
3:41 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a welfare check on US 2/41 in Harris Township. Upon investigation the subject was found to have a valid warrant out of 25th Circuit Court of Marquette for a probation violation on an original charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. She was arrested and transported to the Menominee County Jail without incident.
4:42 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on 13th St in the City of Menominee for speed. Upon further investigation the driver, a 37-year-old Peshtigo WI man, was arrested for two counts of carrying a concealed weapon violation and two possession of improper transport of prescription medications charges. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.
5:00 pm a Deputy was dispatched to an animal at large complaint on #34 Rd in Nadeau Township. The caller stated the neighbors’ dog was in his yard and this is an ongoing problem. The dog owner, a 31-year-old Carney man, was arrested for dog at large and was advised to contact the court.
11:13 pm a Deputy was dispatched to an unwanted subject’s complaint on Pine Hill Ct in Menominee Township. The caller stated she wanted two subjects warned of criminal trespass on her property. Contact was made with both subjects and they were advised.
5/30/2025
12:14 am a Deputy along with Stephenson Fire were dispatched to a deck on fire at a residence on Hendrickson Rd. The caller stated her deck was on fire. The fire was put out and minimal damage was done to the house. No injuries were reported.
02:37 am a Deputy was dispatched to a one vehicle rollover crash on Johnson Rd in Stephenson Township. A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Nadeau man was traveling east on Johnson Rd when he lost control and entered the ditch causing him to rollover. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
10:28 am a Deputy was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint on Village of Daggett property. It was reported that someone damaged some property on the old land fill. An investigation is ongoing.
01:54 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on M-35 in Ingallston Township for speed. The driver, a 30-year-old Green Bay, WI man, was arrested for no operator’s license and operating without security. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.
5/31/2025
2:00 am Deputies were requested to assist MSP with a vehicle that was not stopping on US 2 & 41 in Spalding Township. Once the vehicle was stopped the driver, a 68-year-old Perronville man, was arrested for flee and elude by Deputies and was arrested for operating while intoxicated by MSP. The man was transported to the Menominee County Jail by Deputies.
8:51 am a Deputy was dispatched to a residence in the City of Stephenson for a landlord tenant issue. The complainant stated the landlord made some inappropriate comments to her and she wanted it documented.
6:30 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Everard Rd in Stephenson Township for improper registration plates. The driver, a 25-year-old Stephenson man, was arrested for operating without security and unlawful license plate use. He was released with a citation.
9:55 pm a Deputy was dispatched to Fairland Loop in Menominee Township for a report of a breaking and entering. An investigation was conducted.

3:59 pm a Deputy was advised to contact a subject on River Dr in Menominee Township about a juvenile runaway. He stated his daughter had run away again and he wanted her entered as a runaway.

9:26 am a was advised of a bond violation that had occurred. An investigation showed that a 63-year-old Menominee woman had violated her bond by leaving the state. An investigation was conducted and sent to the Prosecutor’s for review and possible charges.
3:00 pm a Deputy was advised of some damage that had been done to some Village of Daggett property. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
6/04/2025
4:12 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Ekberg Rd in Nadeau Township. Upon further investigation the driver, a 32-year-old Powers man, was arrested for operating without security. The driver was given a citation and was released and advised to contact 95A District Court.
9:17 pm a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on 10th St in the City of Menominee. Upon further investigation the driver, a 30-year-old Alabama man, was arrested for no operator’s license. The man was issued a citation and was advised to contact 95A District Court of Menominee.
4:23 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on US 41 in Menominee Township. A vehicle driven by Kristine Axtell (45) of Menominee was attempting to make a U-turn on US 41 and failed to see the semi that was southbound driven by Joshua Hicks (34) of Stephenson. The vehicles collided causing disabling damage to both. No injuries were reported in the incident. Axtell was cited for improper turn from wrong lane.
9:50 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a residence in the City of Stephenson for a larceny complaint. He spoke with the complaint and an investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
9:50 pm a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 41 in Spalding Township for failure to maintain the lane. Upon further investigation the driver, a 33-year-old Wilson woman, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and a probation violation out of Delta County. The woman was transported to the Menominee County Jail where she was lodged.
6/06/2025
3:30 am a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on #25 Rd in Daggett Township for no taillights. The driver, a 29-year-old Greenleaf, WI man was arrested for no operator’s license and operating without security on a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.
6:00 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch on CR 577 in Faithorn Township. The driver, Janet Lenca (65) of Daggett attempted to miss a deer and entered the ditch causing her to strike some trees. No injuries were reported.
11:31 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a dangerous man in a business in Daggett Township. The caller stated that a male subject entered the establishment with a machete and was waiving it around. The man was asked to leave and he did eventually comply before Deputies arrived.
6/07/2025
12:15 am Deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash and a disturbance on Railroad Ave in Daggett Township. A vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Daggett man was pulling out from being parked and struck a parked car. The driver and a witness then started to argue until Deputies arrived. An investigation was conducted and the driver of the truck was arrested for operating while intoxicated and driving while license revoked. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.
09:32 am a Deputy was dispatched to a domestic in progress on H-1 Rd in Daggett Township. An investigation was conducted and both parties agreed to leave and made arrangements for a later date to retrieve some property.
11:34 pm a Deputy was dispatched to a domestic and malicious destruction of property complaint on Main St in Spalding Township. The suspect, a 25-year-old Bark River man, had left the scene before Deputies arrived. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was arrested a short time later in Delta County for operating while intoxicated. The assault and malicious destruction of property complaint went to the Prosecutor’s office for charges.

03:40 am a Deputy was dispatched to a damaged mailbox on CR 577 in Menominee Township. Upon further investigation it was found that a large number of mailboxes in the City of Menominee as well as in Menominee and Mellen Townships had been damaged by what appeared to be the same suspect. An investigation was conducted and a suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
6/11/2025
07:26 pm a Deputy along with fire and rescue were dispatched to a vehicle versus train on #14 Rd in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by Kathleen Jensen (62) of Wallace was traveling east and failed to see the train. The train struck Jensen causing disabling damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported in the crash.
