The Community Foundation for Delta County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula, President/CEO Mrs. Cheryl Andzejewski presents the Delta County Communities That Care (DLCTC) Director, Mr. Patrick Bradway and Board President Tim Brandt, a check in the amount of $10,000 from an Anonymous Fund Holder. “The funds awarded are to be used to provide economic support to help enhance the quality of life for all youth and adults within the scope of “The Communities That Care” prevention model, which includes addressing risk factors and enhancing protective factors for all youth and adults”, said Andzejewski. Bradway stated how grateful the Delta County Communities That Care Board and staff are and gave their sincere thanks to the generous Anonymous Fund Donor. He stated,” The Delta County Communities That Care (CTC) is a coalition of local leaders, parents, educators, and service providers working together to promote the health and well-being of our youth. We use data-driven strategies to prevent substance use, support mental health, and strengthen families. Our current programming includes evidence-based initiatives like Guiding Good Choices for parents, Prime for Life for youth education, and community-wide campaigns such as Sticker Shock to discourage underage drinking. We also implement Botvin LifeSkills in Delta County schools. It is a research-backed curriculum that teaches students essential skills for healthy decision-making, resisting peer pressure, and building self-confidence. CTC collaborates across sectors–schools, law enforcement, healthcare, and faith communities–to create a safer, more resilient Delta County.”
