The Bay Dems to host voter and candidate event Monday

ESCANABA — The Bay College Student Democrats Club, “The Bay Dems,” will host an informative voter and candidate event, “The Future is Female,” on Monday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Besse Theater on the Bay College Escanaba Campus. This event is free and open to the public.

The event offers an opportunity for community members to meet two local candidates: Christiana Reynolds, running for state representative in the 108th District, and Kelli van Ginhoven, candidate for Delta County commissioner in District 3. Both candidates will discuss their platforms and engage in a meet-and-greet session, giving voters the chance to ask questions and learn more about their visions for the future.

In addition to the candidate presentations, a special segment will focus on Project 2025.

“The presentation will outline the potential negative impacts of this initiative on American democracy and its citizens,” said The Bay Dems Club Advisor, Kari Meunier. “This segment will offer critical insights into why it matters for voters today.”

Attendees will also have the chance to obtain voter information, including voter registration details and an overview of what will be on the ballot for the upcoming election.
