MENOMINEE — Activities of the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department.

August 5

10:51 a.m. A deputy was advised to contact a subject on G-12 in reference to a fraud complaint.The caller stated her credit union contacted her and advised that some large amounts of money had been withdrawn. An investigation was conducted and it was found that her account had been fraudulently attacked from an address out of another country.

11:23 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to an address on I-3 in Nadeau Township for a report of a domestic assault. Upon further investigation a 28-year-old Iron Mountain woman was arrested for domestic assault and was transported to the Menominee County Jail.

August 7

11:40 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on M-35 in Cedarville Township. A vehicle driven by Kim Grady (72) of Shoreview, MN was traveling south when his boat trailer side swiped a vehicle driven by Ryan Mader (38) of Appleton causing damage to Mader’s mirror. No injuries were reported in the incident.

8:00 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to a missing juvenile report on Million Dollar Rd in Ingallston Township. The caller stated two juvenile girls were missing from a residence. The caller stated they had been picked up by an unknown vehicle. After a short investigation the girls were located in Marinette, WI unharmed.

August 8

6:55 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to an address on M-35 for a larceny complaint. Upon further investigation the caller stated he had some fishing gear stolen from his boat. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

August 9

5:17 a.m. Deputies arrested a 28-year-old Escanaba female on a valid warrant in Delta County. The warrant was for a probation violation out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. She was transported to the Menominee County Jail where she was lodged.

August 10

3:50 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a felony assault on Bottkol Ln in Ingallston Township. The caller stated the male across the road was pointing a weapon at them. An investigation was conducted and the 47-year-old Menominee man was arrested for felonious assault and was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.

5:30 p.m. A deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to a suspicious situation on G-12 in Stephenson Township. The caller stated a vehicle drives by really slow and then turns around in her driveway. She stated this has been going on for months. She requested the male subject be warned of trespass. Contact was made with the male and he was advised.

6:42 p.m. A deputy initiated a traffic stop for speed on US 41 in Menominee Township. Upon further investigation the driver, a 38-year-old Marinette man, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was cited for refusal of a preliminary breath test. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged.

August 11

7:52 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to a Cholewa Ln in Harris Township for an attempted breaking and entering complaint. The caller stated the subject was caught on camera. An attempt to locate the suspect was unsuccessful at this point but the search continues to be warned of trespass.

11:24 pm Deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault on US 41 in Menominee Township. Upon further investigation it was found to be a verbal dispute and the incident was closed.

August 12

1:50 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to an unwanted subject on M-35 in Menominee Township. The caller stated there is a male subject in the driveway that is unwanted and they wanted him warned of trespass.

August 13

2:52 p.m. A deputy was advised to contact a subject on Shore Dr in Mellen Township for a larceny complaint. The caller stated he suspected the item was stolen out of his truck while he was at work. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

August 15

2:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a possible boater in distress on M-35 in Cedarville Township. Upon further investigation the possible capsized boat did not capsize but the mast did in fact break off. The crew was able to make it back to shore without any injury.

August 16

8:41 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to an address on CR 342 in Mellen Township for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The caller stated they heard a loud noise the night before and realized that someone had struck their mailbox and damaged it. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

3:37 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Koller Ln in Holmes Township for a report of a malicious destruction of property complaint. The caller stated his mailbox was damaged. It appeared that someone was doing spin outs in the intersection and ended up striking his mailbox.

August 17

5:06 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to a 4-wheeler crash on Wery Rd in Stephenson Township. The caller stated he observed a 4-wheeler running in the ditch and when they investigated further found the male occupant to be unresponsive. Upon further investigation the occupant, Thomas Luiser (65) of Stephenson was pronounced deceased.

7:13 a/m/ A deputy was dispatched to a one vehicle traffic crash on US 2 in Spalding Township. A vehicle driven by Michael Stevens (74) of Mossley, ON was traveling south bound when he blew a tire causing him to enter the ditch. o injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained disabling damage and had to be towed.

August 18

2:11am a Deputy along with fire were dispatched to Church Rd in Lake Township for a structure fire. The alarm in the living room went off but it was found to be a false alarm.

August 19

7:02 p.m. A deputy initiated a traffic stop on Ashland St in Spalding Township for driving left of center and failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon further contact, the driver, a 66-year-old Wilson man, was arrested for operating while intoxicated 3rd offense, open intoxicants, driving while license revoked, operating without security and improper registration. The man was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
