To express their gratitude to the City of Escanaba and the Escanaba Yacht Club (EYC) for hosting the Great Lakes Cruising Club (GLCC)’s 2024 Rendezvous from July 14 to 18, the GLCC presented two gifts this week — a burgee with their emblem, which will hang in the clubhouse of the EYC, and an aerial photograph of the harbor during the rendezvous, which will reside at the Municipal Marina. Posing for this photograph are, from left to right: GLCC member Lori Sprague, co-chair of the rendezvous; Escanaba Recreation Department Director and Harbormaster Kim Peterson; GLCC member and rendezvous co-chair Craig Shantz of Suttons Bay, Mich., who worked with the city on docking reservations; and Escanaba Port Captain Marilyn Kinsey, GLCC member and rendezvous co-chair.
