ESCANABA — For the record, there was an error in the article “Barron letter takes aim at Conservation District,” which ran in the Saturday, May 11 edition of the Daily Press.

The article attributed comments made about mistreatment at the Delta Conservation District to Former District Forester Lyndsey Robinson and to District Manager Heather LeDuc. All of the statements referenced in the article were made by Robinson in correspondence announcing her resignation, including her official resignation letter sent to LeDuc and an email sent to Former Conservation District CEO Rory Mattson, among other recipients.

LeDuc, who has not resigned and is still employed by the Delta Conservation District, told the Daily Press she is “treated with respect and support” by Conservation District Board Chair Joe Kaplan; his wife, Christine Williams; and the other members of the conservation district board.
