ESCANABA – The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.
Jimmy Robert Pethers, of 312 1st Ave., South., Apt. 3, in Escanaba pleaded guilty to habitual offender – fourth offense notice and to underlying offense: possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Pethers was sentenced to 2 to 20 years in prison with credit for 82 days already served in jail. He was ordered to pay $130 in fines and fees.
Benjamin David Sagataw, of 312 North 19th St., Apt. 2, in Escanaba pleaded guilty to failure to comply with registration act (sex offenders). Sagataw was sentenced to 17 months to 4 years in prison. He was ordered to pay $198 in fines and fees.
Benjamin David Sagataw, of 312 North 19th St., Apt. 2, in Escanaba pleaded guilty to tampering with an electronic monitoring device. Sagataw was sentenced to 16 months to 2 years in prison. He was ordered to pay $888 in fees, fines and restitution.
James Dale Nail, of 604 North 20th St., in Escanaba pleaded no contest to assault with intent to do great bodily harm (less than murder or by strangulation). Nail was sentenced to 24 months to 10 years in prison. He was ordered to pay $198 in fines and fees.
Shelly Lynn King, of 200 North St., Apt. 1, in Escanaba pleaded guilty to attempted delivery/manufacture (schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy and cocaine). King was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for one day already served. She was ordered to pay $348 in fines and fees.
Sara Lynn Lalonde, of 305 North 12th St., Escanaba, pleaded no contest to one count of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy. LaLonde was sentenced to 650 days in jail with credit for 650 days already served. She was ordered to pay $698 in fines and fees.
