Recent activities of the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department

March 28

12:23 p.m. – a deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to a suspicious situation on #40 Rd in Meyer Township. The caller stated he had received a letter and other activity at his residence. He stated he just wanted it documented and closed.

2:30 p.m. – a deputy arrested a 39-year-old Hermansville man on a valid felony warrant in the City of Menominee. The warrant was for police officer – assault/resist/obstruct out of 95B District Court of Dickinson County. The man was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.

March 29

5:02 p.m. – a deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to a civil matter on 4th St in Nadeau Township. The caller stated they are trying to get some items out of a residence.

March 30

12:15 p.m. – deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover crash on M-35 in Menominee Township. A vehicle driven by Kirstie Paris, 25, of Marinette was negotiating a curve when she lost control on snow covered roads. The vehicle ran off of the roadway and over turned. The driver was transported to the hospital for her injuries and the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.

March 31

3:22 p.m. – deputies were dispatched to a dogs at large complaint on Evergreen Road in Menominee Township. The caller stated the dogs are off of the owner’s property and this is an ongoing issue.

April 1 – 9:50 a.m. – a deputy was advised to contact a subject in reference to some threats in Stephenson Township. The caller stated he and his mother have been receiving threatening calls and messages and they wanted something documented.

10:31 p.m. – deputies were dispatched to a domestic on CR 551 in Harris Township. The caller stated her two juvenile sons were fighting and it was getting out of control and she just wanted it to stop. The juveniles calmed down and they were turned over to mother on scene.

7:47 p.m. – deputies were dispatched to a domestic that occurred in the Village of Daggett. An investigation was conducted and a 39-year-old Daggett man was arrested for domestic assault and was transported to the jail where he was lodged.

April 2

6:08 p.m. – a deputy was dispatched to a one vehicle traffic crash on US 41 in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by Daniel Corey, 48, of Daggett was traveling south on US 41 when he lost control on slushy roads causing him to enter the ditch and strike a utility pole. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.

Deputies/fire/rescue/road commission workers all responded to numerous vehicles in the ditch as well as power lines and trees down throughout the county on this day and into the next.

April 3

6:51 a.m. – a deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on US 41 in Nadeau Township. A vehicle driven by Kelly Dupont, 45, of Carney was backing out of a driveway and failed to see a vehicle coming driven by Mason Lenca, 30, of Daggett heading north on US 41. Lenca struck Dupont in the passenger’s side causing disabling damage to DuPont’s vehicle.

12:25 p.m. – a deputy was dispatched to a traffic accident on M-35 in Ingallston Township. A vehicle driven by Ryan Ayotte, 22, of Marquette was traveling south on M-35 when ice fell from an overhanging power line and damaged his windshield and mirror. No injuries were reported in the incident.

2:47 p.m. – deputies along with fire responded to a structure fire on Johnson #11 Lane in Ingallston Township. The caller stated the camp was on fire. No injuries were reported in the incident.

– 11 civil process services/attempts

– 1 vehicle vs deer crash

– 37 Law Enforcement assists/Medical calls

– 1 K-9 call

– 2 mental health crisis calls

– 4 Liquor inspections
