Tri County Safe Harbor hosts art night

ESCANABA — For many sexual assault survivors, creating can be healing, and Tri-County Safe Harbor (TCSH) invites all survivors and allies to an evening of t-shirt decorating at 6 p.m. April 8 in the fellowship hall at First Presbyterian Church, 819 1st Ave. South, as part of the agency’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month activities.

Participants will choose what to create, expressing pain, celebrating healing, offering support, raising awareness, and more.

The shirts will be displayed in the windows of TCSH’s administrative office in the Ludington Centre, 1100 Ludington St., throughout the month of April.

Attendees can bring their own white shirts or contact TCSH with shirt size information by April 4, either via TCSH’s Facebook page or by calling TCSH at (906) 789-9207. All other art supplies will be provided.

The free event is open to adults only.

TCSH serves victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking in Delta, Menominee, and Schoolcraft counties. Residents can reach an advocate 24/7 by calling the TCSH helpline at (906) 789-1166.
