A major barrier for many students to entering the local economy is transportation to and from work. In 2023 the Delta Schoolcraft ISD surveyed students and found that the cost of obtaining a driver's license prior to the age of 18 was the major stopping block to entering the economy. The Career and Technical Education department received a grant from the Community Foundation of Delta County to support students who are in need of their driver's license with three scholarships to deserving students.
