Escanaba library closed due to storm

ESCANABA — The City of Escanaba announces the temporary closure of the Escanaba Public Library on Saturday, January 13, in response to an anticipated severe snowstorm.

The decision to close the library prioritizes the safety and well-being of library patrons, staff, and the community at large. With forecasts predicting heavy snowfall, strong winds, and potentially hazardous travel conditions, city and library administration have determined that closing its doors on Saturday as a precautionary measure is in the best interest of all concerned.

During this closure, all scheduled library programs, events, and services on Saturday, January 13, will be canceled or rescheduled. The Escanaba Public Library encourages patrons to utilize its online resources, including e-books, audiobooks, and other digital services available through the website.

The Escanaba Public Library plans to resume normal operations on Monday, January 15 at 10 a.m. For more information, patrons are encouraged to visit the library’s website at www.escanabalibrary.org or contact the library at 906-789-7323
