ESCANABA -- Defendants were sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court recently. They include:

Cedric Shawey-Geeshick Halfaday, W524 Deer Pass Lane, Wilson, pleaded guilty to controlled substance – possession/analogues. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for one day served. He was also assessed fines, costs and fees of $848 and placed on probation for 12 months.

Nicholas Andrew Britton, 2177 H Road, Bark River, pleaded guilty to police officer – assaulting/resisting/obstructing. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 123 days served. He was also assessed fines, costs and fees of $198.

Nicholas Andrew Britton, 2177 H Road, Bark River, pleaded guilty to controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 138 days served. He was also assessed fines, costs and fees of $698.

Kevin Gary Heitz, 6277 N.25 Lane, Escanaba, pleaded no contest to controlled substance – delivery/manufacture (schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstacy and cocaine). He was sentenced to one and a half to seven years in prison with credit for 157 days served. He was also assessed fines, costs and fees of $198.

Erik Scott Drossart, 6301 S. 7th St., Wells, pleaded guilty to being a habitual offender – 2nd offense with an underlying offense of controlled substance – possession/analogues. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 213 days served. He was also assessed fine, costs and fees of $198.

Dalton Keith Evans, 1417 10th Ave. S., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to unlawfully driving away an automobile. He was sentenced to 74 days in jail with credit for 74 days served.
