Serenity Buchmiller of Escanaba beams before presenting a check to Jenny Tourangeau of U.P. Foster Closet of Delta County, which is a volunteer-run nonprofit that provides clothing and other essentials to foster families. Serenity’s donation came from earnings from her business, Little Ray of Sunshine Cookie Company, which parents Audra and Matt help her run. Half the proceeds are being donated to charities important to the Buchmillers — namely, Foster Closet and Children’s Wisconsin — while Serenity is saving the other half for a trip to Disney World.
