Community Foundation announces fall grants

ESCANABA -- The Community Foundation for Delta County announced the foundation's October Grant round recipients. The following organizations receiving grants are:

New Harvest Harvest House - Heating and lighting

New Harvest - Warming Center - Food

City of Escanaba Recreation Department - After School Program

Boy Scout Troop 411- Summer Camp and other outings

Escanaba Township Volunteer Fire Department - Facemasks for Airpack Systems

Gladstone Area Schools - Greenhouse Project

Human Resources Authority, Inc. - Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Reading Buddies Program

Tri-County Fire Department - 2023 Turnout Gear

Community Action Agency - Community Action Senior Heating Program

Salvation Army in Escanaba - Salvation Army Food Pantry

St. Vincent de Paul in Escanaba - Food Pantry

St. Vincent de Paul in Gladstone - Food Pantry

Bay de Noc Community College - Bay College Food Pantry

Escanaba Seventh Day Adventist Food Pantry - Food Pantry Needs

"It is a privilege and honor to be part of an organization that is able to provide grants to a multitude of Delta County organizations that help make our area a better place for all. It is very rewarding to know what we do as a community foundation has such a positive impact for our residents," said Charles Becker, board chair.

"The community foundation is able to provide funds to these entities only through the wonderful generosity of our donors who care about their community," said Cheryl Andzejewski, executive director of the Community Foundation for Delta County.

The spring 2024 grant round will open on Thursday, February 29, and all grant application requests and requirements must be received by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024 in order to be considered.
