ESCANABA — Defendants were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court in unrelated cases. They include:

Norman Parish II, of 4 Park Ave., Gladstone pleaded no contest to interfering with electronic communication and breaking and entering – illegal entry (without owners permission). He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for one day served, assessed fines, costs and fees of $240 and placed on probation for 12 months.

Kenneth Norman Brunette Jr., of 2506 Triple Creek 23rd Road, Cornell, pleaded guilty to police officer – assaulting/resisting/obstructing causing injury. He was sentenced to 345 days in jail with credit for 345 days served and assessed fines, costs and fees of $758.

Kenneth Norman Brunette Jr., of 2506 Triple Creek 23rd Road, Cornell, pleaded guilty to attempted assault of prison employee. He was sentenced to 317 days in jail with credit for 317 days served and assessed fines, costs and fees of $198.

Marcus McCoy, of 415 1st Ave. S., Apt 3, Escanaba pleaded guilty to controlled substances – possession on school or library property (narcotic or cocaine) less than 25 grams and attempted controlled substance – delivery/manufacture (cocaine, heroin or another narcotic ) less than 50 grams. He was sentenced to 18 months to five years in prison with credit for 252 days served and assessed fines, costs and fees of $266.
