ESCANABA --The Bay Sages will gather for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, November 9, at 10 a.m at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College.
The Bay Sages is an organization established to provide educational opportunities for older adults residing in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.
Gayle DeShambo will be the presenter for the November meeting covering Hospice 101. Information and services that are available to families experiencing an end of life situation of a loved one will be covered and a handout distributed.
Time permitting, Gayle will also cover information on the Delta County Cancer Alliance in which she has a leadership role.
Future programs will include: Dec. 7 - Delta County Historical Pictures, Rich Anzalone and Christmas Luncheon; January - no meeting; February 1 - Social Security; March 7 - 50 years of the Bonifas Fine Arts Center; April 4 - Escanaba Public Library; May 2 - Henry Ford (part 2); June 7 - Travelogue and Birthday luncheon
