ESCANABA -- The Community Foundation for Delta County Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) announces the recipients of their April 2023 grant round. The following organizations receiving grants are:
Canine for Comfort - Canine for Comfort/Remarkable Rescue Dogs Project
Delta Animal Shelter - Children's Reading Program
Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center - supplies for children that spend time at the Child Advocacy Center
Escanaba Library Lego Club – Education, Imagination, Sharing and Building
Gladstone Public Library - Reading Really Matters
Great Lakes Sports & Recreation Club - National Hunting & Fishing Day - Youth in the Outdoors
Great Lakes Sports & Recreation Club - Youth Summer Shooting Program
Pregnancy Services of Delta County - Annual Campaign
Northern Lights-YMCA – Strong Kids Campaign
Upper Peninsula Trappers Association - NTA Kid's Cave
Welcome Newborns Program – Child Abuse Prevention and Safe Sleep Project
William Bonifas Fine Arts Center - Explorer Camp
Youth Advisory Committee - Christmas Shopping for needy Delta County Families
Community Foundation for Delta County Executive Director, Cheryl Andzejewski and YAC Youth Advisor David Radloff stated, "The foundation's Youth Advisory Committee is made up of a bunch of very impressive young adults that want to help make a difference. They give-up of their time to make our community and its residents a better place to learn, play and live."
Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Co-Chair Diana Clark announced the Fall 2023 grant round will "open" on Friday, September 1 and all grant application requests and requirements must be received by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023 in order to be considered.
