ESCANABA -- The Bay Sages will gather for its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 8 at 10 a.m at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay de Noc Community College.
The Bay Sages is an organization established to provide educational opportunities for older adults residing in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.
The program for May will feature Keith Whitman on the ventures of Henry Ford in the Upper Peninsula, which was considered his playground. What started as a college class research project on Henry Ford has turned into some forty years of research as new and interesting points continue to be discovered.
Whitman has a very active life. He has worked in law enforcement, is a scuba diver instructor, an international luge coach, coaches track at Holy Name, and is in his second year of writing a book on all he has learned of the Ford ventures. At the conclusion of the program, we will honor Dr. Laura Coleman on her retirement and enjoy the annual June luncheon.

The August 3 meeting will feature Sue Jamison on the Monarch Migration; Sept. 7 - Lakestate Industries, Cheryl Ohman; Oct. 5 - Scamming Seniors by Embers Credit Union staff; Nov. 2 - Home Health Care and Hospice, Gayle DeShambo; Dec. 7 - Delta County Historical Pictures, Rich Anzalone.
