ESCANABA --The Bay Sages will gather for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, May 4, at 10 a.m at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay de Noc Community College.
The Bay Sages is an organization established to provide educational opportunities for older adults residing in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.
The program for May will feature Rob LaMarche, who is retiring as director of Escanaba Public Safety in June. He will take a look back at his career with the department and what he plans for the future. A question/answer period will follow. He will also introduce his replacement for the department.
Upcoming programs will include: June 8, U.P. Sawmills and Henry Fords ventures by Keith Whitman. A luncheon will also be held in celebration of the Bay Sages 28th anniversary. No meeting is held in July. The August 3 meeting will feature Sue Jamison on the monarch migration.
