Bay Sages plan meeting April 6

ESCANABA — The Bay Sages will gather for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, April 6, at 10 a.m at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay de Noc Community College.

The Bay Sages is an organization established to provide educational opportunities for older adults residing in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.

The program for April will be feature Anne DeShambo from the Delta County Victim’s Services Unit. After a vehicle accident, fire, or some other emergency, victims or their families may need help beyond what those responding to the scene can provide. In such cases the Victim’s Service Unit members are called in to provide physical help or direct family to resources available to them.

Upcoming programs will include: May 4, Public Safety by Rob LaMarche, and June 8, U.P. Sawmills and Henry Fords ventures by Keith Whitman. A luncheon will also be held in celebration of the Bay Sages 28th anniversary. No meeting is held in July.
