Group hosts Nature Prayer Gathering

RAPID RIVER — On Sunday, November 20, UP Wild Delta County will host a Nature Prayer Gathering in Rapid River. This event will begin at 3 p.m. and should last around 45 minutes. The location is 9450 25.75 Lane Rapid River.

Motivated by an urgent concern for the Earth and its ecosystems, the gathering will focus on recognizing the impact humanity has had on the environment, acknowledging the pain we feel as a result, and looking for ways to heal this world.

For those who have never attended one, a nature prayer gathering is a time to meet outside in community, seeking to find the sacred in the natural world. During this event, you may expect a reflection on nature, the opportunity to go out into the wilderness, a time to share your thoughts and feelings, a moment of prayer, and a closing poem. Afterwards, there will be community time with tea and snacks. Please bring chairs.

U.P. Wild Delta County is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities to foster a deeper spiritual connection with the actively living God in the outdoors and through virtual nature walks online. From the beginning, UP Wild Delta County has been a cross-denominational offering. Everyone is welcome in this circle

Starting at $3.50/week.
