ESCANABA –The Bay Sages will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, September 1, at 10 a.m. at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College.

The Bay Sages is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational programs for older adults in the Delta County area. Dues are $20 for the year and include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages at Bay College.

The program will feature Vickie Micheau speaking about the history of the U.P. State Fair and changes made after state funding ended.

Upcoming programs will include Roy Webber (Oct. 6) on Local Paleontology and Fossils, Collecting and preserving honey with Martin Fix and Jennifer LaChance (Nov. 3), and Ray and Maggie Miller (Dec. 1) with a travelogue on European travel. The December meeting will also include the annual Christmas luncheon with entertainment.
