Cancer Alliance seeking donations

ESCANABA — The Delta County Cancer Alliance Board announces the return of the yearly golf outing fundraiser to be held Thursday, July 14 at the Escanaba Country Club. According to Gayle DeShambo, Alliance President the golf outing fundraiser has been on hold for two years due to COVID restrictions.

To make this happen, the Alliance is reaching out to the community requesting support for the the event with golf registration commitments, donations, and sponsorships.

Registration commitments will allow the Alliance to fill the course with golfers. Donations will allow golfers to try their luck with bucket raffles and silent auction treasures. Sponsorships will help make the event profitable to allow the Alliance to continue to help cancer patients. Your support allows any Delta County resident who has been diagnosed with cancer to receive up to $800 reimbursement per year to cover cancer-related expenses, access to the loan closet of items one may need throughout their cancer journey, personal care items and nutritional supplements.
