1 min read

ESCANABA -- Scott M. Peterson has been selected to deliver the Bay College's 2019 graduation commencement speech on May 7.

Peterson is the fifth of seven siblings, and second of his siblings to earn a college degree. Last winter he earned an associate in applied science degree and will be awarded his second, associate in arts in May. He will welcome his sister, Kate Peterson, to the list of degree holders as he walks across the stage with her this spring. His plan is to transfer to pursue a bachelor's degree in the coming year.

"Bay College has given me a fantastic foundation for my future. I have grown academically, personally, and feel I am well prepared to face whatever comes next," he said.

Peterson has been playing piano for 18 years, loves photography, and is rarely seen without tea or coffee nearby. He is passionate about helping the poor and empowering others to live rich and fulfilling lives.
