Annual Upper Michigan Safety Conference set

ESCANABA — The 19th Annual Upper Michigan Safety Conference will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Bay College in Escanaba. This year’s featured speaker is author, speaker, and survivor Silouan Green. Silouan learned to live again after a tragic jet crash while serving in the United States Marine Corp. Silouan will speak on overcoming adversity and building resiliency and learning how to live “Life Strong”.

The full day conference offers timely and quality workplace safety and health presentations applicable for all industries. A sampling of presentations that participants may choose from include: Drugs in the Workplace, Executive Roundtable, Overhead Crane Inspections, ANSI A92 Standard Updates, Easy Choices to Improve Health, Top 10 MIOSHA and MSHA Violations, EPA and Lead Rules, Ergonomics, Silica: Federal Requirements and Medical Surveillance, Safety Investigation, The Five S’s of a Healthy Lifestyle, Fall Protection, Safe Cutting, Tree, Chipper and Chainsaw Safety, Slips, Trips, and Fall Prevention, HAZCOM, and Creative Ways to Address Safety Issues.
