ESCANABA — Special Olympics Michigan Area 1, which includes Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft Counties is up and running and looking for athletes in all three counties.

Special Olympics is currently recruiting for its Swimming, unified bowling and track and field teams. This program is strictly volunteer run and is free to the athletes. Each county has local practice sites.
