Silver Linings, a service group at Escanaba High School, held a mini Tackle Cancer event to raise over $1,700 for the Delta County Cancer Alliance. This past October, the group raised money to help local families affected by cancer throughout the community by selling t-shirts and stickers. This donation will go to help local families with transportation costs that accrue while seeking treatment. Silver Linings could not have raised the money had it not been for the help of the generous sponsors: Bink’s Coca-Cola, Cost Cutters, D&M Subs, Elmer’s County Market, Mark’s Auto Sales, Reflections Hair Salon, Rodan and Fields (Sarah Hughes), and Sav-Mor Foodliner. Shirts are still available for purchase contact Lauren Bishop at Escanaba High School for details.
