Mid Peninsula school went red for vEDS.(Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) It is an uncommon, dominantly inherited, genetic connective tissue disorder. Vascular EDS is particularly serious because of the risk for spontaneous arterial or organ rupture. Carrie Farley, a school teacher at Mid Pen, lost her 20 year old nephew, Dylan, to this disease earlier in the school year. The school surprised her and dressed in red clothing to honor Dylan and all others who are affected by this disease.
