U.P. Foster Closet of Menominee County gets grant

MENOMINEE — The U.P. Foster Closet of Menominee County has received a $4120.00 grant from the Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment held at the M & M Area Community Foundation.

The U.P. Foster Closet of Menominee County will use this grant to support basic needs for women’s and girls within the Marinette and Menominee Counties who are being cared for by someone other than their biological parents. We strongly believe that ALL CHILDREN ARE OUR CHILDREN, and it is our goal to ensure that children who are removed from their homes can live as normal a life as possible during one of the most difficult and traumatic times of their life.

More times than not, children are removed from their homes with just the clothing they have on at the time. By receiving this grant, we can assist families in providing basic needed items for women and girls (free of charge) and can also help offset any financial strain for the families who are caring for them.

The board members, truly do appreciate and thank the M & M Community Foundation for all they do within our community, and for giving us the ability to partner with them, and to continue giving back to our community, just as they do.
