Bay offers Microsoft Excel training

ESCANABA — Bay College Training and Development (M-TEC) will be offering two Microsoft Excel trainings in February. Microsoft Excel – Top Skills & Tools Everyone Needs to Know! and How to Use Microsoft Excel to Analyze Data.

Microsoft Excel – Top Skills & Tools Everyone Needs to Know! will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. This training will cover how to use the most popular functions in Microsoft Excel including formulas and functions, conditional formatting, using tables, summarizing data using pivot tables and using VLOOKUP to match data from two different data ranges. Attendees should be familiar with using Excel at a beginner or intermediate level. There is a fee to take part which includes materials.

How to Use Microsoft Excel to Analyze Data will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. The ability to analyze massive amounts of data, extract actionable information, and present that information to decision makers is at the foundation of a successful organization that can compete at a high level. This consultative and hands-on project-based workshop will allow participants to work in an open lab environment with their own project. Attendees will be able to define the end-result information, apply formulas and functions to achieve results, develop a customized plan to obtain desired results and analyze data for decision making. For desired instructor to student ratio, this training is limited to six participants. There is a fee to take part which includes materials.
