Sault Tribe Board meets Jan. 7

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — A regular meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will be held at the held at the Kewadin Casino, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 4 to 5 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are, under Bud Modifications: Sawyer Village, DeMawating Development, ACFS Family Violence, Canada Lynx, Facilities-Escanaba, Facilities-Vacant Lots, Facilities-Wequayoc Cemetery; BIE Part B and C Funding FY 2020; Family Violence Prevention and Services Program; Limited Waiver-White Pine Lodge; Trust Land-Methodist Mission; Ogitchida Qwe and Associates Contract; Special Counsel Contract-Greene; Special Counsel Contract-Lambros; Special Counsel Contract-Morissett; Contract-Frost, Brown, Todd; and Contract-Butzel Long

Under New Business, the board will consider Relinquishment, Meeting Change-March, Committee Request, Key Employee and Board Concerns.
